GFLN CODE OF ETHICS
FOR PARTNER MEMBERS
OBLIGATORY TO FOLLOW |
|
As a partner of the
GFLN,
the member must undertake to abide by the Code of Ethics to the best of
there business abilities. It is therefore mandatory that any company willing
to join the GFLN
must agree to the following terms. Abidance of the
GFLN
Code of Ethics is obligatory for the professional, efficient and honorable
operation of the Global Freight and Logistics Network. Non-compliance or
disregard for the following rules will result in disciplinary actions |

As a partner member in good standing
of the GFLN, company
applying for membership, fully subscribes to the following business ethics
and standards regarding co-operation with other
GFLN
partner members. |

01- |
All payment terms must be agreed mutually
between the relevant Members, prior to acceptance of the consignment. |
|
02- |
In case of any dispute which does not reach
mutual agreement within 45 days, all parties concerned should report to the
GFLN Head Quarter and GFLN President may himself conduct / appoint a
committee / or may authorize/appoint a competent person as intermediater
and both parties will be thoroughly investigated and the committee or person
or he himself will decide a resolution which must be accepted by both
parties. |

All new members are subject
to a provisional period of 12 months membership in order for GFLN Management
to gauge their dedication to the GFLN network. |
|
04- |
All GFLN members must specify whether they can
offer a full range of services (including air and sea freight as well as
customs clearance) or whether they specialize in just one or another. |
|
05- |
All GFLN Members must attend a Member Meeting
within the first year of joining (unless exceptional circumstances prevail
and with prior agreement from the GFLN Head Quarter). From the second year
of membership, one year’s grace will be given. However, failure to attend
two successive Member Meetings will result in expulsion. |

06- |
If a member is deemed to have defaulted on a
payment to a fellow member, the GFLN management reserves the right to
notify all members using the GFLN E-mail System and Credit Status page. |

07- |
In the event of expulsion, due to
non-compliance with the GFLN Code of Ethics, fees will not be refunded. |
|
08- |
Members may leave GFLN at any time. Fees will
not be refunded. |
|
09- |
Members are to agree to exchange only net net
charges and rates. |
|
10- |
Members must refrain from using the GFLN logo
once membership is terminated. |
|
11- |
All Members must respect
the nature of confidentiality involved in all client/business relationships. |
|
12- |
GFLN cannot be held responsible and does not
accept any financial liability for commercial and/or financial obligations
that are not met by (a) GFLN member(s). Unless authorized by GFLN and GFLN
confirms the coverage of any credit insurance under an insurance plan. |

13- |
The GFLN Director may add to the GFLN Code of
Ethics at any time. |
|
14- |
GFLN members are obliged to offer all fresh
business to their fellow partners within one year of joining and must
actively support their fellow members in all domains to generate new
business mutually. |
|
15- |
GFLN Members must respond to all sales lead
and through the e-biz module or through any other way of communication and
other requests RFI/RFQ and general inquirries communications within 24
hours. All sales leads, rate requests, bookings will/may be monitored in
case of delayed response and the disciplinary action may be taken against
the members for non-compliance. |

16- |
We prefer GFLN members not to belong to, or be
actively associated with, any company, group, association or organization
which is deemed by GFLN management, to be in competition with GFLN and/or
its members. The GFLN management reserve the right to expel a member(s) if
it feels that the company is not reciprocating business with GFLN
members/and or working within the spirit of GFLN. |

17- |
Within GFLN, members cannot promote offices in
countries where they do not have official GFLN Membership. |
|
18- |
GFLN Membership will be terminated under the
following conditions: |

• |
The GFLN Head Office believes the member is not
able to fully offer a service that is satisfactory to other members |
|
• |
The member has stated they can provide services
which they cannot fulfill |
|
• |
GFLN Head Office receives a notice of
resignation |
|
• |
The member does not adhere to these Code of
Ethics |
|
• |
The GFLN President has the authority to
terminate membership at their discretion. |
|
19- |
Further more the partner member hereby agree
that they will comply with followings and will do there best; |

• |
To support partners to the fullest possible
extent. |
|
• |
To train the staff to able to use the GFLN
e-biz and will continuously update the status of shipments, bookings,
routing orders, purchase orders. |
|
• |
To pay all monies due to members on a timely
basis. |
|
• |
To be active in sales endeavors for mutual
growth. |
|
• |
To provide bona fide sales leads on a continual
basis and will use GFLN e-biz module for the same and will act on the sales
leads provided by the partner members of GFLN. |
|
• |
To support and participate in all GFLN
marketing and sales programs. |
|
• |
To provide the highest level of service through
efficient staffing and training. |
|
• |
To operate in accordance with all stated
shipping advice instructions. |
|
• |
To comply with all tracking and tracing
procedures in accordance with the GFLN System. |
|
• |
To promptly respond to all communication
requests within 24 hours. |
|
• |
To advise other members immediately if there
are any issues relating to their shipments. |
|
• |
To quote rates in full detail in a timely
manner. |
|
• |
To honor all agency profit sharing agreements
established. |
|
• |
To seek assistance from the GFLN corporate
office for dispute resolution. |
|
• |
To Notify the GFLN corporate office with any
updates on office and contact details and country trading conditions
immediately. |
|
• |
To respect all GFLN members and operate within
the network with high standards, incorporating friendship, loyalty,
integrity, and trust. |
